As with most offers in life - there are a few common sense rules to our Price Promise guarantee - the snappily titled 'terms and conditions'. So here they are in all their dull but essential glory :

1. The alternative quote supplied must be for self storage from a comparable storage company.

A list of comparable storage companies is available from us at StoreIt4U .

Container storage, a crate in a warehouse or a backstreet lock-up garage won't do.

2. The quote must be from a storage company located within a 3 mile radius of the StoreIt4U Store.

3. The quote must be supplied in an official manner - normally on company letterhead or a company e-mail. For obvious reasons we can't accept a hand-scibbled quote for 1p a year-for-life storage.

4. The quote must have been issued within the last 10 days.

5. The quote must be based on the same size and type of storage room.

Here's an example - our ground floor rooms are more expensive per sq.ft than our equivalent sized mezzanine level rooms. That's because they benefit from the very best access. We don't class these two rooms types as comparable on our pricing, so we wouldn't on a price match with a competitor.

6. The quote must be for an ongoing rate for a 4 week stay and includes VAT where appropriate
